Call for Applications: FTMC Invites Early-Career Researchers to Build Their First Independent Team

The Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) is opening a call for 4 talented, driven, and highly motivated researchers who aim to establish their first independent research group. Successful candidates are expected to assume their positions no later than September 1, 2026. Researchers from institutions in Lithuania and abroad are eligible to participate in the call.

We invite you to submit an R&D project proposal (download the application form here) and send it to projektai@ftmc.lt.

Submission deadline: December 22, 15:00 (Vilnius time).

The preferred applicant is an early-career researcher seeking to establish their own independent research team. FTMC offers an appointment of up to three years along with a budget of 350,000 EUR to support the formation of the independent research group. This funding includes the salaries of the Group Leader (PI) and team members, as well as all essential costs required to implement the proposed research project.
