Is participation compulsory for FTMC doctoral candidates?
Yes. Participation is compulsory for all second-, third- and fourth-year FTMC doctoral candidates. Their annual assessment presentations form the first stage of “FizTeCh 2026”.
How are the finalists selected?
Presentations delivered during the assessment sessions will be evaluated by specially appointed committees. Based on the results, 14 doctoral candidates will be selected for the final.
How long is each finalist’s presentation?
Each finalist will have three minutes to present their research clearly and accessibly to an interdisciplinary audience.
Who will take part in the poster sessions?
Second-, third- and fourth-year FTMC doctoral candidates who do not advance to the final will take part in the poster sessions. Doctoral, Master’s and Bachelor’s students from other research and higher education institutions are also invited to present their work.
Can I attend without giving a presentation?
Yes. The final is open to the entire FTMC community, students, partners and other guests interested in science.
What is the official language of the event?
The official language of “FizTeCh 2026” is English.
Who will evaluate the final presentations?
The final presentations will be evaluated by a jury. The audience will also vote for the most engaging presentation, whose author will receive a special award.

The final programme will be published on this webpage once it has been confirmed.
