Established in 2011, the Nanostructure Laboratory is focused on the design, synthesis, and characterization of nanomaterials and nanostructured arrays, with particular emphasis on their technological applications. The laboratory integrates electrochemical, hydrothermal, and chemical approaches to develop advanced functional nanostructures.

Main research directions:

  • Synthesis and applications of MXenes and other 2D nanomaterials.
  • Investigation of the processes of nanostructured titania and iron oxide layers formation, modification of their composition, and surface functionalization.
  • Development and optimization of synthesis methods for novel superparamagnetic and luminescent nanoparticles, along with their characterization and assessment for applications in nanomedicine.
