During the annual assessment sessions, second-, third- and fourth-year FTMC doctoral candidates will present the results of their research achieved over the past year.
Their presentations will be evaluated by specially appointed committees, and the highest-rated candidates will be selected for the “FizTeCh 2026” final.
This year, the assessment sessions will be open to the entire FTMC community. They offer an opportunity to discover the latest research conducted by colleagues, learn more about the work taking place across FTMC departments and support early-career researchers.
The assessment sessions will be organised in seven groups:
- Department of Optoelectronics.
- Department of Laser Technologies.
- Departments of Nanotechnology, Nanoengineering and Electrochemical Materials Science.
- Departments of Catalysis, Chemical Engineering and Technology, and Organic Chemistry.
- Departments of Functional Materials and Electronics, Physical Technologies, and Textile Technologies.
- Departments of Nuclear Research and Environmental Research.
- Departments of Fundamental Research and Molecular Compound Physics.
The dates, times and venues of the assessment sessions will be announced shortly.
The selected finalists will take part in science communication training to prepare for their three-minute presentations. FTMC doctoral candidates who do not advance to the final will present their work during the poster sessions.
