Investigation of chitosan-graphene oxide nanocomposites and their application in environmental protection

Over the past two decades, natural chitosan (CS) biopolymer has been thoroughly examined for its attractive functional properties. However, the insufficient mechanical properties of CS limit its wide industrial application. Composites based on graphene oxide make it possible to strengthen the CS matrix and ensure its wider application.
The aim of the work is to develop new materials based on chitosan / graphene oxide and their use in environmental protection.
