44th Lithuanian National Physics Conference

44th Lithuanian National Physics Conference (LNFK44) will take place in October 6-8, 2021, at the National Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (Saulėtekio av. 3, Vilnius, Lithuania).

LNFK44 is a biennial conference with strong traditions, uniting all Lithuanian physicists. The chairman of the conference is Juozas Vidmantis Vaitkus, the president of the Lithuanian Society of Physicists, the chairman of the program committee is Gintaras Valušis, the director of the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology.

Famous scientists, young researchers, curious students and physics teachers are invited to discuss latest achievements and perspectives in science and technology. The goals would not be achieved if there would be a shortage of specialists, therefore bachelor, master students and teachers are kindly invited to participate free of charge.

Links between physics researchers and industry will be strengthened by a special session "Physics and High-Tech Industry" dedicated to to discuss the development of high value-added industry and its challenges.

We invite all physicists from Lithuania or related to Lithuanian institutions (e.g. PhD students) to give their scientific presentations (oral or poster) on these topics:

  • Environmental and energy physics and technologies
  • Astrophysics, astronomy and cosmology
  • Biophysics and medical physics
  • Chemical physics and technological applications
  • Physics of elementary particles, atoms and nuclei, structure of matter
  • Electronics and optoelectronics
  • Physics pedagogy and educology, history, terminology and science policy
  • Functional materials and derivatives, materials technologies
  • Instruments and measurement technologies
  • Light technologies and quantum optics
  • Laser physics and technology
  • Nanosciences and nanotechnologies
