Head of laboratory: dr. Martynas Misevičius
The Crystal Growth Laboratory was established in March 2023 with the main goal of growing crystalline materials and analyzing their structural, chemical, and physical properties. At present, the laboratory is focused on establishing its infrastructure, with plans to acquire Czochralski (CZ) / Top-seeded solution growth (TSSG) furnaces.
Main research topics include:
- Growth of non-linear optical (NLO) crystals for light wavelength conversion;
- Growth of electro-optical crystals;
- Growth of novel crystals for optical, laser and/or semiconductor applications.
