Nanostructure laboratory opened in 2011. The R&D activities in the laboratory are focused on synthesis and characterization of various nanomaterials and nanostructured arrays and search for their application possibilities. Electrochemical, hydrothermal and chemical methods are employed for the formation of nanomaterials.

Main research directions:

  • Investigation of the processes of nanostructurized titania and iron oxide layers formation, modification of their composition and surface functionalization
  • Search for synthesis methods of new superparamagnetic and luminescent nanoparticles, their characterization and investigation of their possible use in nanomedicine
